1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
I have pondered over this question, and honestly, I don’t think that I look like any celebrity that I have come across. That being said, I want to look like Sushmita Sen, who was crowned Miss Universe 1994. She is a person who inspires me by her inner beauty, more than her external beauty because of the philanthropist she is and the social causes she has been working on.
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
I prefer talking on phone rather than texting. Talking allows me to capture the moment in real time and understand the person on the other end more clearly. Humans are emotional beings and talking on phone enables me to foster an emotional connectedness through the tone and vocal expressions, which is limited through a text, even with the use of emojis.
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
I don’t usually get bored, don’t recall at least in the last 15 years. I love to read books, introspect and retrospect when I get time. For me, it’s like meditation. It helps me in my personal growth and in understanding life, its purpose, the journey, and the role we play in making a difference not only to our near and dear ones, but also to everyone else around us.
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
No, I am not loyal to any clothing brand. When I go shopping for clothes, I first feel the texture of the cloth if it is comfortable. The next thing is, I visualize if the color and the outfit itself makes me feel joyous and lively. Once these criteria are met, I buy it and I feel happy about it. Of course, budget is important as well.
5. What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
Because of family medical emergency, I had to leave my family (husband and 2 year old kid) in India. Got a job in USA, where I worked more than 160 hours for 14 nights and travel back to India after 14 nights to stay with my family for 10 days. Journey time was 30 hours each way. The risk involved with the hectic schedule was worth the time with my family.
