1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
I’ve been told I resemble Catriona Gray, who is also my favorite Miss Universe and Filipino. She has a vibrant, magnetic presence while still showing warmth and kindness, so it’s a big compliment to be compared to her.
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
I enjoy texting. It gives people time to think and respond thoughtfully, and it’s also respectful of how busy life can be. There’s no pressure to respond to text messages immediately. In the industries I have worked in phone calls are for urgency and emergencies! So, when I have the choice, I prefer texting.
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
When I actually have downtime, I’m intentional about unplugging and recharging. With a busy schedule between work and all the community events I’m involved in I’ve learned that rest is essential to staying present and performing at my best. I can’t give what I don’t have.
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
For most of my everyday clothing and shoes, I just focus on quality and practicality. But when it comes to skiing, it’s a different story. It has to be Dope Snow! I love their modern style, and their ski gear keeps me dry even after hours on the slopes. I have a bright lavender ski jacket I wear every season. It’s my favorite and I’m easily the brightest person on the mountain!
5. What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
The biggest risk I’ve ever taken was joining the Navy at 17. When I first went to the recruiter, I was turned away and told I needed my parents’ permission. I was more nervous about asking them to sign the waiver than I was about joining the Navy! Taking that leap was worth it because it taught me courage and independence. The military changed my life and opened so many doors for me.
