1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
People often tell me I resemble the Bollywood star, Kareena Kapoor. While I might share some features, I certainly wish I had her incredible dancing skills! I admire how she has successfully navigated her career while also advocating for various causes. She inspires me to pursue my own goals with similar grace and commitment.

2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
I prefer to talk on the phone. While texting can be convenient, I believe the art of a good conversation has been somewhat lost. It’s so much easier to convey empathy, nuance, and a genuine connection through tone of voice. As a former TV journalist, I know the value of clear and personal communication. I prioritize genuine connections.

3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
I love to bake. It started during COVID as a way to pass the time, but now it’s become my creative outlet. I enjoy dropping off extra treats to my neighbors and friends, especially my Ferrero Rocher cake. It’s a small way to brighten someone’s day and build community spirit.

4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
I don’t prioritize labels. I prioritize fit, quality, and style above all else. I believe that true confidence comes from how an outfit makes you feel, not from the logo on the label stitched inside it. My goal is to always find beautiful clothing that represents my personal style.

5. What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
Choosing to be open about being an autistic adult. Many adults on the spectrum feel like they have to hide that part of themselves due to social stigma in our society. By choosing to disclose my autism diagnosis, I’ve accepted a role as an advocate and an educator. Being the first autistic Mrs. Minnesota has allowed me to connect with others, challenge stereotypes and misconceptions, and use my voice to foster greater inclusion and understanding in my community. I would be so proud and honored to be your first autistic Mrs. International.
