1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
I’m often told I resemble Mayim Bialik, best known as Amy Fowler from The Big Bang Theory. Think Amy if she traded in the lab coat, added a little glam, and still kept the brains to fact-check — that’s me. Beauty and brains? I’ll take it.
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
I prefer talking on the phone because I value the personal connection and social aspect of hearing someone’s voice. It allows for clearer communication and more genuine interaction. That said, I also appreciate the efficiency of texting for quick updates or when time is limited.
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
When I get bored, I somehow convince myself I need a trip to Target. I grab my Shadrach’s Coffee, wander the aisles for “just one thing,” and inevitably leave with seasonal décor, the newest Alani Nu energy drink, and a renewed sense of purpose.
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
Absolutely- I am unapologetically loyal. As an educator living in Northeast Arkansas, my closet is basically a shrine to the Arkansas State Redwolves. If it is red, collegiate, or has a Red Wolf on it, there’s a very good chance I own it.
5. What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
The biggest risk I’ve taken was choosing my future family before my future résumé. I turned down basketball scholarships and chose community college to stay close to the man who is now my husband of 17 years. I never stopped valuing education — I simply took a different route and went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences.
