The Accomplishments
Of Today's
Married Women®

Mrs. Wyoming International®

Lisa Oilar

1. I am honored to represent the awesome married women of Wyoming and their inspiring families. Growing up in California I consider myself to be a California girl but living in Wyoming has captured my heart. Wyoming represents family values like no other place I’ve been. My husband, Joshua and our 6 awesome kids, Malik, Owen, Orin, Jarom, Jedediah, and Olivia, live in one of Wyoming’s most picturesque cities, Cody, the East Gate of Yellowstone.

2. I love being a wife and mom! We are an active family and sports are a big part of it. Being active and involved in community helps us be happy. In the 15 years Josh and I have been married we have coached high school and middle school sports (basketball, football, track, and volleyball). If we aren’t coaching we are supporting our children in their sports (wrestling, basketball, football, swimming, track, and gymnastics).

3. I am passionate about advocating for children. Having a troubled childhood, I understand the importance of healthy lifestyles. Playing sports and being active in school and church saved me. Being an educator for over a decade, I have watched the impact lifestyle choices have on kids. The relationship between physical activity and nutrition is strongly linked to learning. Kids need to be active, well nourished, and involved in order to learn and make good choices.

4. “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” This quote from Gandhi inspired me to get involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs program Triple Play. I want to make a difference in the lives of our youth. Being an educator and college athlete, I realize that with today’s sedentary nature it is more important than ever to help kids find joy in fitness, eating healthy, and making good lifestyle choices.
