Nicole - 3rd Runner-Up

1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
The ‘Beauty Clean!’ This is a nickname that was given to me by the New York Post when I had the incredible opportunity to be featured on the front cover. By combining my love for all things glamorous with my career in sanitation and environmentalism; this name is the perfect fit! I have used this name on social media, during press interviews, and of course, on stage!

2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
Any celebrity wedding that was planned by the Master of Celebrations – David Tutera. I have been such a huge fan of his event planning work after watching his show on television. In another life, I would consider a career in event production and having the chance to attend one of his weddings would be a dream come true.

3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
My grandma once gave me a stuffed potato that holds a sign reading “Positive Potato: You’ve got this!” We talk about everything and when I shared with her that I was going through a particularly tough moment, she mailed it to me. I leave it on my vanity and it makes me laugh every time I see it.

4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
We are ingesting up to a credit cards worth of microplastics each week. That is fifty-two credit cards worth of microplastics each year. I discovered this startling fact while I was taking a step back to understand how my family’s health was being impacted by our environment. Our personal health is a direct reflection of our environment. There is so much we can do to live healthy and sustainable lives.

5. What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
Allow others to dictate what I am capable of. Working in a male dominated field and ‘getting my hands dirty’ is seen as very unconventional. Many people have doubted my choices and abilities. I know that by showing up every day as my most authentic self, I am continuing to create spaces where women belong. No one can take my journey away from me.
