1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
Mrs. International!
In all seriousness, I’d use my real name. When I was younger, I didn’t fully appreciate my first name. I thought it was too unique—there weren’t any Sophies my age, but my mother, who studied French, adored it. Now, I love it! My first name, paired with my husband’s last name, which I’ve had for nearly 16 years, would be the perfect stage name for me!
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
Does a royal wedding count? I've hosted early morning watch parties for a couple of royal weddings—everyone came in PJs and fascinators, and it was so much fun. Witnessing a royal wedding in person would be this small-town Kansas girl’s dream come true!
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
Oh, boy! I definitely have an answer—but in the spirit of gift-giving etiquette (and to avoid hurt feelings), I can’t have the details posted. The intent behind it was very thoughtful, but let’s just say it was very odd and still lives in my junk drawer. I’m happy to spill the tea during the personal interview competition, though!
4.What is the most random fact you know?
Over the past three years, I’ve become a big fan of the PGA Tour, and while I’m not sure how “random” my knowledge is, I love diving into a good rabbit hole about a player—especially during a tournament. I really enjoy learning about their backgrounds and their road to success.
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
I’ve completed five full marathons, each an incredible achievement. While I’m proud of those accomplishments, I’m not sure I’ll sign up for another full marathon. The training is intense, and with my family’s busy schedule, I’d like to focus more on shorter races, improving my golf game (if that’s possible), and cheering for our kids at their events. Five marathons is a major milestone, and I’m excited to take on new fitness challenges!
