1.Tell us a funny story about a date night out with your husband.
Oishi. It means delicious In Japanese. I taught English as a second language in Japan for a year and used this word a lot because I love to eat!!

2.What are the (2) most important things in your kitchen and why?
The Big Bang Theory. I don’t watch a lot of TV but when I do, I want to laugh. This show definitely delivers in that regard!

3.What do people assume about you that isn’t true?
I have a tendency to be very hard on myself. Over the years, I have had to learn to forgive myself and to look at failure as an opportunity to learn.

4.Tell us a time you demonstrated leadership skills.
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” As a public servant, I can honestly say that I feel more like myself and more alive when I am working to help others.

5.If you had no fear, what would you try?
Tuesday. My husband is a chef and his days off are Monday and Tuesday. Every Tuesday is date night for us.
