1.Tell us a funny story about a date night out with your husband.
Courage. Courage encompasses your strength, hope and faith. Having courage to be better and do better relies on your strength, your hope and your faith to endure. As a television journalist, I have witnessed some of the most difficult circumstances and have seen people with the courage to persevere.
2.What are the (2) most important things in your kitchen and why?
I adore “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” The incredibly silly segments are never at the expense of others and she has an incredibly kind heart. “Ellen,” blends uplifting humor with extremely charitable portions. We see plenty of outer beauty on television; it’s important to also see a focus on inner beauty.
3.What do people assume about you that isn’t true?
Anything chocolate! Although I prefer dark chocolate, I won’t turn away any of it. A friend once made the mistake of sending me chocolate covered potato chips. Now she makes regular shipments. Let me know if you want to try them and I’ll have her send you some too!
4.Tell us a time you demonstrated leadership skills.
“All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them” - Walt Disney. Everyone has the right to dream, which is why I became a child advocate through CASA. Perseverance and courage are traits these children use daily; I want to help their dreams come true.
5.If you had no fear, what would you try?
I‘m grateful for every day, however, Saturday is filled with two of my favorite things: Family and Organization. We spend it together running around and then wind down with a fun family dinner. It’s also a day to wrap up the week and prepare for the one on the way.
