1.Tell us a funny story about a date night out with your husband.
Family is my favorite word. These people shaped your life and despite all your faults love you anyway. The most precious moments in my life have been spent with my family. They are my joy, my source of strength and what I am most proud of.
2.What are the (2) most important things in your kitchen and why?
Tanked on Animal Planet is my favorite. I love that it is a show about a family run business that brings creative fish tanks to different places. I enjoy learning about the different fish and also watching the dynamics of this family as the tank goes from idea to install.
3.What do people assume about you that isn’t true?
My worst habit is trying to “fix” everything. As a mother and nurse I want to make everything better and stop people from hurting. It’s hard sometimes to realize I can’t always fix what’s wrong.
4.Tell us a time you demonstrated leadership skills.
“I would like to be known as an intelligent woman, a courageous woman, a loving woman, a woman who teaches by being.” Maya Angelou. This is a reminder to me that I can’t just say I want to be a good role model; I have to live like one.
5.If you had no fear, what would you try?
Sunday is my favorite day. I cherish going to church with my family. A smile crosses my face when I look down the pew and see my blessings sitting beside me. It is a time we can slow down and enjoy the gift we have been given in each other.
