1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
Momma! After losing my son to prematurity and birth defects, being a mom was something I could not live the rest of my life without being again. Now that I am the mother to a healthy little girl I cherish every time I hear “Momma” come from her lips!
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
My husband and I love watching the Duke-Carolina basketball games. We met after I lost a bet on a Duke-Carolina game and was forced to take him out on a date, pick him up, open doors, and even pay! We still watch every game and of course, make bets!
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
I LOVE taking an hour long bath! (Ok, maybe it lasts 2 or 3 hours sometimes... and occasionally I nap in there.) My family is always checking in on me, just in case I have fallen asleep in the tub.
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
Adorned on the Neonatal ICU lobby wall is this quote by Mother Teresa, “Be faithful in small things because it is in them your strength lies.” It was my tiny 2lb son and even the smallest gestures that helped me find strength to get through even the toughest of days.
5. What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
Every Sunday after church we gather at my grandmother’s home where we indulge in her delicious southern home-cooking. I grew up a farmer’s daughter and have had the treat of farm fresh produce used in each of these Sunday meals. By Monday, I’m already looking forward to Sunday!
