1.When you hear the saying "be the change" what comes to your mind first?
Resilience - Throughout this walk of life, we will all experience personal challenges. Yet, having the courage to pull through difficult times can be transformative to one’s character and can build mental fortitude.
2.How would you describe your husband?
Dateline ID – This show gives me a window into the lives of real people that have faced difficult odds. I sometimes think, “What if this were my family? How would we respond”? I am often amazed at how families are able to stay hopeful in the face of horrendous incidents.
3.If you could revisit one memory as a child in your mind, what would it be and why?
Repeated follow-ups - Whether it’s asking my husband if he remembered to rsvp for a social or sending multiple emails to employees, I cannot resist making sure things are on target. Although annoying at times, I have used these skills to support and mentor students preparing for FTC robotics completions.
4.How would someone describe you when you were in high school?
“So, what are you going to do differently next time?” - Any time our son does not achieve expected outcomes, we challenge him to think about what he will differently next time to achieve desired results. Essentially, it’s the things we take away from experiences that are the most valuable.
5.If money did not matter.. what would you buy for your husband and why?
Wednesday – Since Wednesday are midweek, our family views this day as an opportunity to reflect, regroup, reprioritize, and refocus. We view it as a second chance to end the week off on a good note.
