1.When you hear the saying "be the change" what comes to your mind first?
Grace: a prayer, a gift freely given, honor bestowed with one’s presence, simple elegance, my youngest child’s name.
2.How would you describe your husband?
I’m hooked on Breaking Bad. The plot is outrageously entertaining, and I find myself rooting for the deeply flawed, deeply human characters that authentically portray the human struggle between good and evil, and the beauty or devastation wrought by their choices.
3.If you could revisit one memory as a child in your mind, what would it be and why?
I write my “to do” list on post-it notes and stick them all over my bathroom mirror, my car dash, my refrigerator. . . . It’s a terrible system of organization, but the rainbow confetti in all of my spaces makes me smile.
4.How would someone describe you when you were in high school?
“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena … who strives valiantly; who errs … who spends himself in a worthy cause.” This reminds me that failure is an inevitable part of doing something worthwhile. Failure can only be avoided by attempting nothing, ever.
5.If money did not matter.. what would you buy for your husband and why?
Sunday is the day I can read the newspaper in full and know for certain that the entire family will be home to eat dinner together. And if the Redskins, Bucs or Steelers are playing, so much the better!
