1.Tell us a funny story about a date night out with your husband.
My favorite word is parent because it’s the word that connects me with the two most important people in my life. My daughter is my world and my husband is my life. Together the three of us are wonderfully unstoppable, because things always happen in three’s.
2.What are the (2) most important things in your kitchen and why?
I love Law & Order SVU. My husband and I never miss watching it together! I have watched it since it began and I love the ‘who done it’ aspect, even though they don’t always get the bad guy.
3.What do people assume about you that isn’t true?
My worst habit is not putting away my clothes/shoes in any sort of timely manner; I tend to procrastinate because it’s not fun. I know the end result makes my life easier, however laundry is something I wish I could put away with just a twitch of my nose.
4.Tell us a time you demonstrated leadership skills.
My favorite saying is by Muhammad Ali: “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.” Through service we are able to brighten the lives of others when they need it most. This saying serves as a daily reminder of the importance of service.
5.If you had no fear, what would you try?
Any day that ends in ‘Y’. There are so many wonderful things I am able to do each day I couldn’t pick just one. From soccer practice, family time and date night, to my support of the families of the fallen, each day is unique.
