1.When you hear the saying "be the change" what comes to your mind first?
Pride is the feeling of “knowing” when something is truly amazing. That describes the way I feel inside when I pause for a “freeze frame” moment to appreciate my husband, children and the life we have created together through love, laughter and commitment.
2.How would you describe your husband?
My hero is the “unsung hero” - the person who demonstrates integrity, strength, compassion and love throughout their life. The unsung hero answers to a vertical accountability with a confidence of doing what needs to be done, at the right time, when the moment matters most. My hero is my mom.
3.If you could revisit one memory as a child in your mind, what would it be and why?
The gift of freedom that I enjoy every day. In America, your voice and your vote facilitate positive change- a land of opportunity where success if defined through dreams and determination. Through interviews with veterans, immigrants, women and minorities, I value more than ever the gift of America.
4.How would someone describe you when you were in high school?
A nickname is meant to be light hearted and fun! When my radio mentor called me his “sidekick” on air, I laughed along with our listeners. Funny thing about nicknames…you often outgrow them. Today, my mentor and I share another laugh as he refers to himself as the “sidekick”.
5.If money did not matter.. what would you buy for your husband and why?
Spring in the South is my favorite season! The days are longer, azaleas are blooming and everything seems brighter. Spring musicals are underway, dance costumes arrive and the Strawberry festival is near. Soon, thousands of guests will arrive and, families will gather to savor delicious Strawberry Fun!
