Lisa Warren
1.When you hear the saying "be the change" what comes to your mind first?
I love to knit and sew and I feel so much pride when I create something that is both beautiful and useful. It feels great to dress my children in hand-knit sweaters on cold mornings or see them snuggling with the blankets and dolls I made just for them.
2.How would you describe your husband?
My heroes are my friends and neighbors, my fellow Army wives, who are raising their children alone and dealing with all of life’s curveballs - in addition to the usual uncertainties of military life! I hope I can handle my husband’s upcoming deployment with as much grace and style.
3.If you could revisit one memory as a child in your mind, what would it be and why?
I want to be someone who is unattached to material things, but I must admit I would be heartbroken if I lost the cards my children have given me. These are the tangible rewards of motherhood! I keep them all in a special book, which is my most treasured possession.
4.How would someone describe you when you were in high school?
My name is short, but friends will shorten it to Lis or even just Li. My younger siblings call me Weesa - even though they can say Lisa now! And one friend calls me Pink Yogurt (because I am girly and granola) but thankfully no one else calls me that!
5.If money did not matter.. what would you buy for your husband and why?
I live in a region with four distinct and beautiful seasons, but I think fall is most magnificent of all. Living on a college campus, it also feels like the start of a new year. And we get lots of visitors for our amazing foliage and Army football weekends!
