Ellen McGovern
1.When you hear the saying "be the change" what comes to your mind first?
I take great pride in my fabulous husband and beautiful daughters. They are a huge blessing in my life and the reason why I continue to want to live life to the fullest. They inspire me everyday to practice Godly living, integrity, good nutrition and physical fitness,
2.How would you describe your husband?
My hero is Christ Jesus. His love for mankind is beyond anything that we can comprehend. I have great respect for the men and women who are missionaries, evangelists and pastors - ambassadors of Christ who minister the love of God to a hurting world.
3.If you could revisit one memory as a child in your mind, what would it be and why?
My most prized possession is my health. Years ago I was very ill, and I felt very close to death, but the love and prayers of my family pulled me through. Once you experience that you realize that your health is golden and owns no price tag.
4.How would someone describe you when you were in high school?
As a freshman in college my friends called me "Edge" and "Blondie". After college and during my first job my co-workers called me "the Barbie doll". Now I teach elementary school and the Kindergarten students (cutties!) call me "Mrs Governor!" To show respect the church youth call me "Miss Ellen".
5.If money did not matter.. what would you buy for your husband and why?
My favorite season is summer. I love the bright sun, hot weather, and going swimming. However I am very very fair, so I use a lot of sunscreen! Summer for me as a teacher means.....vacation for 2 1/2 months......Yeah!!
