1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
Being a long-term survivor of Vasculitis, a rare autoimmune disease, has been a blessing. Enduring 2 ½ years of Chemotherapy and 28 surgeries has taught me to face challenges head-on, appreciate that which makes us all unique, and prepared me well for the role of advocate for others.
2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I have saved the lives of 2 choking victims using the Heimlich Maneuver. These two experiences, 5 years apart, revealed to me the power and importance of helping a stranger.
3.What do you love to cook and why?
I love my heart-healthy walking for cardio exercise and weight training and yoga for strong muscles and bones. My husband and I are committed to our well balanced diet and healthy choices for mind and body.
4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
Family values are the blueprints to our behavior and how we treat those we love. They are traditional in essence, unique to every family, and transcend the generations. Family values provide us with our history and our future alike.
5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
I am over-organized. Our house is so organized that sometimes we can’t find what we are looking for.
