1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
My husband and I are generally aware of our surroundings. So getting almost kicked out of a restaurant is definitely one of our funny stories. We’re trying to make date nights more fun with the inclusion of games. Board games. We tried couples Scattegories with a mind meld variation. Got so engrossed in the game, we forgot to order food. The wait staff had to tell us it was ‘Last Order!’before we realized.
2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
An air fryer for its incredible versatility in cooking and baking. A sharp Japanese knife, because it makes me feel like a professional and makes prep work that much easier!
3.What do you love to cook and why?
Numerous exchanges have indicated that the way I look doesn’t ‘match’ my profession. As an educational therapist, I encounter clients who can become physically aggressive or have accidents that I have to clean. I have to ensure both our safety, which isn’t always very glamourous.
4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
During my last pageant, I put together an item for our Director, who worked tirelessly throughout COVID to put on an amazing show and made sure we felt supported despite all the challenges. I rallied the ladies together, rehearsed with a two-part harmony over Zoom once a week and when restrictions were finally lifted, we performed it at our finals.
5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
Bungee jumping. Whilst I’m not afraid of heights, not a fan of the idea of possibly becoming a vegetable.
