1.Tell us a funny story about a date night out with your husband.
I am most Grateful for the opportunity to share my testimony. Growing up in the system as a foster child bouncing around, my depression and anxiety began very young. Through My platform of The Self Care Project I will promote mental Health while I support and encourage others.
2.What are the (2) most important things in your kitchen and why?
I want to be Better. A better mother, wife, friend and above all Better Servant of Our Lord. As far as change I hope and Pray to be a better version of myself tomorrow than I am today. Remembering my own self care and mental health plays an important role in achieving such change.
3.What do people assume about you that isn’t true?
Being CHOSEN- growing up most of my life I wasn't surrounded by blood family. Those who CHOSE to be in my life and by my side helped me become who I am today.
4.Tell us a time you demonstrated leadership skills.
I have a purpose. As an abortion survivor growing up a Ward of the State , in and out of Foster Care and group homes I realized God had a purpose for me and through my testimony I share that purpose while giving Him ALL the Glory.
5.If you had no fear, what would you try?
I love the sound of silence at the Dinner table. After I have prepared a homemade meal for family (chosen or Blood)
and everyone sits down to eat - the silence as they dig in and enjoy warms my heart. That moment as they taste each bite quietly savoring it feeling the love poured into it warms my heart. Cooking for those I love is a great self care act for me.
