1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
I wish I had used positive affirmations. Growing up I didn’t really understand the power of my words. I am a positive person but at times I was my own worst critic. I hold myself to high standards and was often hard on myself.
I have learned to give myself the same kindness and grace I give others. This helps me to thrive and be healthier physically and emotionally.
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
How the advancement of technology will affect relationships. I read an article that stated we are forging new neural pathways. Our brains like to go the path of least resistance. Technology is an easy way to zone out and can be addictive. I am concerned how this will affect families, relationships, connections, and emotional and mental health.
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
Having the opportunity to take all six of our children to visit the 48 continental states in an RV was a dream. My favorite aspect was seeing people in their own environment and actually visiting places we had studied. We learned about history, authors, religion, architecture, literature, art and government. When we visited the sites the stories and history came to life for us.
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
I like that all the trials and lessons I have been through make me fearless! That is so empowering. I love that all these things have lead me to choose faith over fear! I know with God I can do all things. Whether I am helping my children navigate life or chairing a charity event, I look within myself and find God’s guidance and I am not afraid.
