1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
Saving for retirement in my early 20s. Saving for retirement wasn’t a huge priority until my early 30s. My parents come from very humble beginnings. As a result, their top priorities included God first, family second and job third. While they wanted us to be individuals of great, positive influence and affluence, conversations about investing and saving for retirement were rarely discussed, if all. However, financial health is part of everyone’s overall total wellness.
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
Life is a lot different and a little more difficult for today’s youth. I always hope and pray that I imparted enough education and information to my sons. Knowing that my husband and I both feel there were things we wished we could have learned earlier in life, I always hope that we’ve empowered our sons to become all that the Lord has ordained them to be.
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
Discovering new things, seeing new people, and gaining a fresh new perspective. With the exception of Mexico, all of my travel has been within the U.S. But even traveling within the U.S. there is so much to learn from people in other regions of this country. My goal is to explore this world that God created so that I can literally experience life, people and other cultures like never before.
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
With age comes wisdom. With wisdom comes understanding. With understanding comes POWER. The Bible says people are healed by the power of our testimony. I love the fact that I can share my experiences to help encourage and empower others. I also love the fact that I am a confident and accomplished woman. It took time to get here, but it was worth it. I now speak from a place of power and passion.
