Maureen Imomoh Eigbe


1. I am a wife to a wonderful an, Mr. Samuel Eigbe, A mother to an amazing 7 month old son, Hermon and a believer in a wonderful and sacrificial Savior, Jesus Christ. These three are the most important people in my life, with Christ taking first place. I love spending time with my family talking about our goals, planning for the future and playing with our baby, whos a true source of joy to us.

2. I am a robotics researcher and I invented a prototype construction robot, which won a 5 million naira grant from the Governor of Edo State during a technology exhibition in 2011. Im also a TV presenter, I created and produced the Television program, Technology Unlimited where I interview inventors and get them to display their works on air. The idea is to celebrate indigenous technology and connect them to sponsors. Weve had many success stories.

3. I am the chairperson of the Young Professional section of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Im also a member of the Africa working group. I won the IET present around the world competition, a presentation competition for young engineers in June 2012 and was the first Nigerian to partake in the regional finals held in France. My topic CONSTRUCTION ROBOTS: a LASTING SOLUTION TO INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT was viewed as very advanced and well-researched.

4. I am currently the Vice President of the Youth Ministry of the Living Faith Church GRA saddled with the responsibility of planning youth based program like beauty pageants, empowerment, entrepreneurial and skill acquisition programs and relationship seminars; I also serve as the secretary to the Marriage Planning committee, our task is to plan couple centered programs that help strengthen relationships, provide platforms for better communication and restore marriages.
