1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
I take a moment to look outside my backyard window at the sky, wildlife and pond. No matter the season, I marvel at God’s beautiful creation. Often I awake to an alarm of quacking ducks (many of which I have rescued) demanding breakfast. I never mind their wake up call.
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
Happy! Saying “yes” to marry Jon Heard has been the best decision I have ever made. I could not imagine being any happier than to share in and experience this journey of life with Jon, who is my best friend, soul mate and love of my life!
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
The Great Plains harbor many magical places to visit. I recommend the Flint Hills, with its wealth of adventure, beauty, and history. The region's sweeping horizons and carpets of wildflowers captivate artists and enchant visitors. Take a horseback ride at sunset and experience one of the most beautiful skies ever!
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
The poem “We’re All Queens” has a wonderful message.
Excerpts include:
It’s not the title, nor the crown that counts.
Growth of a queen is all done on the inside.
When the pageant is through …you will have a crown.
It may be rhinestone or the growth of your heart!
5. What is the biggest risk you have ever taken?
With my “head in the clouds”- literally. Today, as an instrument rated pilot (flying Bonanzas) I’m licensed to fly in clouds. By 2016, I will have attained a multi-engine and jet type rating. I envision flying Jon and I in our airplane across the country touching lives with our foundation.
