Laura Giordano
1.Tell us why anyone would want come to your hometown?
The International Pageant system is service-based with the national emphasis on the partnership with “Go Red for Women”. State titleholders are also encouraged to promote a personal platform. My platform is Angelman’s Syndrome. Angelman’s Syndrome is a chromosomal deficit so a cure may not ever be found.
2.What are the (2) most important things in your closet and why?
I hold three undergraduate degrees and two graduate degrees from three different universities which makes me a professional student! I enjoy learning new things.
3.What do you love to cook and why?
Along with eating less junk food, which is difficult as I love cookies and cupcakes, I dance. Dance has been a part of my life since I was a child. My favorite genres of dance, right now, are Middle Eastern (bellydance) and ballroom (Latin styles).
4.If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do?
Family values, I believe, are the basic concepts instilled into children by parents or primary guardians. These concepts include respect for oneself and others, respect for property and animals, responsibility for your own actions and acceptance of consequences if an action is incorrect.
5.Describe the dirtiest job you have ever had to do?
“If you want something done right, do it yourself”. This is my worst habit. I am learning, however, not to sweat the small stuff, as they say, and let others do their best at what they have been assigned to do.
