Demetria Davis - 1st Runner-Up
1.Tell us a funny story about a date night out with your husband.
The most sensible thing that I have I’ve heard someone say is, “Be sensitive enough to hear and Bold enough to Obey the Lord!â€
2.What are the (2) most important things in your kitchen and why?
I get excited about life knowing that I have an amazing God that has blessed me with a beautiful family & friends to enjoy life with. Another thing that excites me about life is that as a private chef/caterer when I am asked to cook, it excites me and my adrenaline rushes as I am challenged to provide and serve clients the most amazing, beautiful and tasteful dishes they have ever had!
3.What do people assume about you that isn’t true?
I would teach others to allow their life to be the teacher. The way we live our daily lives is one of the greatest teaching lessons. Someone is always watching us, and we learn from each other. Sometimes we make life so complicated with big solutions and issues. But, if we would simply take a step back and look at our own lives, and others around us we would learn some of life’s greatest lessons.
4.Tell us a time you demonstrated leadership skills.
I would be 22 again. At 22 I was traveling the world running professional Track and Field. And believe it or not I did not value taking pictures as much as I do now. I wish I could go back to some of the places I have traveled and take pictures with my family and experience the different cultures of the world.
5.If you had no fear, what would you try?
My idea of a fun date night with my husband is going for ice cream without the kids. Coming home and hiding the ice cream remains in the trash can outside, so they don’t know where we have been or ask for any. Lol! Once we get home, we like to lay in bed and catch up on our favorite television series and/or movies until I fall asleep first….lol!
