1.Tell us a funny story about a date night out with your husband.
The lifestyle we live. I am blessed to have the support of my family, a flexible job that allows me to do what I am called to do while putting family first, and a lifestyle we've created that focuses on what's best for our children physically, psychologically, and spiritually. I'm forever grateful that we can live this life.
2.What are the (2) most important things in your kitchen and why?
To slow down and take in experiences as they happen. I’m a planner, so I’m always looking toward the next thing. Sometimes I miss out on what is happening, whether it is positive or negative, because I’m looking at the future.
3.What do people assume about you that isn’t true?
Coming home after being gone for an extended time. I love the comfort and safety of having “my spaceâ€, especially when it means taking a shower in my own bathroom!
4.Tell us a time you demonstrated leadership skills.
I cannot control everything. I'm actually still working on fully coming to terms with this idea, but when I realized that things will work out how they need to work out, it was a great relief for me. I was able to let go of worrying and really just work on being the best version of myself that I could be.
5.If you had no fear, what would you try?
Quiet. I used to think I needed to fill every space with noise and activities. As I grow older, I’ve learned to appreciate a lack of sound and the calming effect it can have. I’m working hard on mindfulness and quiet moments allow me to process the world around me daily.
