1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
I try hard every day because I have four kids at home that I am an example for. My husband and I believe that it is our responsibility to show them that finding a balance between hard work and enjoying what we work hard for is the secret to a fulfilling life. I also like to show them that we never stop experiencing new things. Complacency is boring, life is an adventure.
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
The best days start with waking up to the sun instead of the alarm clock. My family loves to head to the lake to spend the day on our boat. We pick out our favorite houses along the shore, tube, swim and have a picnic lunch. Heading home we stop at the snack bar and the kids convince us to eat their ice creams before dinner. Nothing beats a family day on the lake.
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
As a teacher I make a difference daily. I may be the only consistent person in a child’s life. I may be the one that tells them that they are smart and can to do great things. The sandwich that I bring may be the only meal that they eat that day. My words of encouragement may be the only ones that they hear. It is my job to make a difference daily.
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
My most treasured item in my house is my kitchen island. This is where my family gathers to cook and eat, to catch up, to have serious heart to hearts and laughs. My husband and I feel that it is important to have a sit down dinner every night and we are fortunate that our kitchen island fits all six of us. It is an item that creates memories that we will never forget.
