1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
The inspiration of my daughters, Magan and Mary. I raised them to be strong, independent, caring young women. They look up to me and I strive to be the example they can respect and admire. When I look at my daughters and their accomplishments, I am filled with a resolve to never give up on my dreams, so they too will be inspired to pursue their dreams.
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
The perfect day for me is any day I get to spend with my husband, Tom. One of our favorite things to do is go to Copper Hill, TN, and go White Water Rafting. We both work in the airline industry so white water rafting is a great way to unwind and have fun with each other. There are no cell phones, just my husband, class four rapids, and me! It does not get any better than that.
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
I look for opportunities to pay it forward. Whether it is paying for someone’s meal in the drive thru or simply saying a kind word to someone. You never know what someone is going through and random acts of kindness can truly make a difference in someone’s life. I feel kindness in any form sheds a beacon of light and is infectious. The world is full of kind people, if you can’t find one, then be one.
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
My most treasured item is the teddy bear Santa Clause gave my great-grandmother when she was five years old in 1910. I remember when I was a little girl I always admired her teddy bear as he sat on the shelf protected in his glass box that my uncle made for her. My great-grandmother remembered how much I loved her teddy bear and she passed him down to me. Teddy is 108 years old now and is in delicate, yet very good condition. Having a part of her childhood with me is invaluable.
