1. Which celebrity do you think you look like?
I smile when the people in my life are happy, healthy and pursuing their dreams passionately. I have learned to celebrate the success of others, regardless of my own success. I know that when I am happy for others, I gain a deeper joy that is selfless. I believe that true joy is not about circumstances, but about choosing to celebrate beautiful things that come from the lives of those we love.
2. Which do your prefer? Talking on the phone or texting?
A date night with my husband never goes without a surprise. I have learned that when he is being vague or seemingly undecided about our plans, he has something up his sleeve. I will never forget the time he picked me up from work with packed bags and a dress hanging in the back seat of the car. “Ready for a road trip?” He said. I look forward to many more years of surprises!
3. What’s something you only do when you get bored?
I like to relax by separating myself from what I see every day. Whether it’s a trip out of town, or a walk at the park, breaking my routine is very calming. When I feel stressed and can’t seem to get away, I pray. Prayer allows me to take my mind and spirit elsewhere when I am not able to change my surroundings. Through prayer, I feel God’s peace, the best relaxation of all time.
4. Are you overly loyal to any clothing brands?
Moving from Las Vegas to small town North Dakota has taught me that it’s important for my style to adequately fit my environment. At the office or at church, my style is more classic with a little trendy flare. However, when I go to the city with my husband or have a pageant appearance, I like to show my Vegas roots with a cocktail dress and a little sparkle!
