“ A GENERATION AT RISK: KIDS AND GRIEF”
During my childhood I had to deal with several traumatic situations with no one to turn to. That include my mom’s breast cancer diagnose, my parents divorce and the death of my grandmother. Then I decided to begin a career in Psychology to help children.
For 11 years I have volunteered in the community. I am currently working with the kidsconection ministries at Calvary Church Naperville, IL and Rainbows.org as an Honorable Member of the Board of Directors Georgia chapter.
I believe dreams really do come true, I am happily married with my husband Dean and we are raising two beautiful children. My advice for the children living similar experiences to mine is: “Not all is lost, there are so many opportunities, dream big and work to make them true”.
As Mrs. Colombia I have had the honor to share my life story and motivate many people. Therefore, I will continue my efforts so that every child has the opportunity for a bright and successful future by bringing hope to the worlds grieving children.
